Each element, in turn, coincide with an essential characteristic of a fully awakened being. The square base of the stupa – earth & tranquility; the round dome – water & indestructibility; the triangular pyramidal structure – fire & compassion; the semi-circular umbrella – wind & all-accomplishing action; and at the very top, the jewel-shaped tigle or drop – space & all-pervading awareness. A Stupa naturally establishes peace and harmony while vanquishing negative forces. It helps to avert diseases and brings blessings of health, wealth and good fortune.
