Fuk Luk Sau, also known as the Three Star Gods, represent most essential aspirations on which humankind depends – wealth, happiness and longevity.

Fuk is the God of Wealth, and is considered the personification of prosperity, abundance and good fortune. He is usually depicted holding a scroll, which symbolizes beneficial inherent luck; he is also sometimes seen holding a child – which symbolizes good descendants luck.

Luk is the God of Happiness, and symbolizes rank, influence and success in examinations. Luk, who is always seen in the center of the three deities, carries a gold ingot, or a “Ru Yi” (scepter of office).

Sau is the God of Longevity and is a symbol of longevity and a healthy life. Sau holds in his hands a staff and a Wu Lou or a peach (the fruit of immortality).
