WHAT IS BLACK OBSIDIAN?

Black Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is a silica rich volcanic rock which can contain various mineral deposits. Often glassy in appearance and the colour can range from black, dark brown or dark grey.

Obsidian is a very protective stone, and is excellent for removing negativity. It is also excellent protection against psychic attacks. In particular obsidian protects the gentle from abuse.
