“Om Mani Padme Hum” is the most popular mantra in Buddhism. This six syllable invocation can be translated to “Hail the Jewel in the Lotus” is the mantra of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Infinite Compassion who protects one from harm. The Bodhisattva vowed to free all sentient beings from suffering and is said to appear anywhere to help all beings in danger and distress. Om Mani Padme Hum is also referred to as “The Mantra of Universal Protection” or the “Six Character Great Bright Mantra”.
At the center of the lotus is the seed syllable Hrih. Seed Syllables are basically compact version of the mantras. However, they in itself are very powerful and create a different form or energy on its own. The seed syllable Hrih has the ability to ensure the wearer to overcome any hostile and emotionally stressful environment. Hrih is a great syllable for those who are in sales, marketing and public relations, journalism, advertising, legal profession (lawyer, judge, police).
The Star of David is known in Hebrew as the Shield of David or Magen David. Its shape is that of a hexagram, the compound of two equilateral triangles. This sacred shape represents the Yin Yang energies.
The Star of David is an ancient, sacred symbol found in many spiritual traditions worldwide. Through the Jewish people’s long and often difficult history, we have come to the realization that our only hope is to place our trust in God. The six points of the Star of David symbolize God’s rule over the universe in all six directions: north, south, east, west, up and down.
Originally, the Hebrew name Magen David ― literally “Shield of David” ― poetically referred to God. It acknowledges that our military hero, King David, did not win by his own might, but by the support of the Almighty. This is also alluded to in the third blessing after the Haftorah reading on Shabbat: “Blessed are you God, Shield of David.”
Wear this Lotus Om Mani Padme Hum with HRIH Syllable medallion to attract greater abundance and to overcome troubles, illnesses and misfortunes, especially when afflicted stars fly into your animal sign direction.
