Black ONYX vs. Black OBSIDIAN vs. Black TOURMALINE

Black OBSIDIAN is easy to identify due to its grayish/greenish/rainbow sheen. Both Black ONYX and Black TOURMALINE are black stones. But using a digital scale, black TOURMALINE is heavier than black ONYX (if you weigh onyx & tourmaline bracelets with same bead size and number of beads). Black ONYX is usually perfect while black TOURMALINE may sometimes have tiny or hairlike fissure or crevice since it’s more brittle. TOURMALINE is also more expensive since it is sold per gram.
