MEANING OF 12 EYE DZI (COURAGE, FAME & GOODLUCK)

12 Eye Dzi represents extra energies to overcome fear and obstacles. It empowers one with the ability to surpass expectations and attain fame and recognition. It also fulfils one’s needs and desires for excellence. 12 Eye Dzi stands for courage, fame and good luck. In the Sutra of the Medicine Buddha, were 12 Heavenly Generals who were present when the historical Buddha (Shakyamuni) first introduced the Healing Sutra. They were believed to have offered protection during 12 daylight hours, otherwise known popularly as the Chinese Zodiac. This Dzi bead is said to represent them.

WHAT IS LABRADORITE?

The labradorite gemstone gets its name from the region Labrador in Canada where this gem stone is found in plenty. Even before the year 1000, the natives of Maine used this gem for decoration. However, it was only in the 1770 s that the labrafdorite got its name, when it was found by Moravian Missionaries in Labrador.

Labradorite occurs in large crystal masses in anorthosite rock and shows an iridescence or play of colors, like the wings of tropical butterflies. Iridescence is an optical phenomenon and is a characteristic property of surfaces in which the hue changes according to the angle from which the surface is viewed (as may be seen in butterfly wings).

When the light hits the thin microscopic, semi-transparent layers of the labradorite gemstone, there is a phase shift. This phase shift causes numerous reflections that interfere with each other, making parallel bands of shimmering spectral color, usually blue flashes and greens flashes giving out a greenish blue hue. This phenomenon in the labradorite is named after this mineral, and is know as labradorescence.

Labradorite (also called Spectrolite sometimes) is a considered by mystics to be a stone of transformation and magic. It is said to clear, balance and protect the aura. It is purported to help provide clarity and insight into your destiny, as well as attract success. It is used in metaphysics for dream recall, and finding ways to use dreams in daily life. Mystically, energies of stress and anxiety are said to be reduced by labradorite. Labradorite is said to increase intuition, psychic development, esoteric wisdom, help with subconscious issues, and provide mental illumination. In crystal healing and folklore, Labradorite is said to help with eyes, sight, diagnosis, brain, digestion, metabolism, warts. Labradorite is associated with the solar plexus and brow chakras.
